Once the room had been gutted I assembled the flat packs and installed the cabinets. Double extension drawers replace the old pantry and provide extra bench space above. I then tiled the splash back and installed stainless steel kickboards below the cupboards.

The owner loved the addition of the dishwasher, the double sink and the gas soft-closing drawers. An extra bank of drawers installed next to the oven gave some extra width without encroaching too much into the family room next to it.
